It's true...

Tea makes me happy.  It gives comfort and provides a much needed ritual in the day. Not being a coffee drinker I place a lot of importance on that morning cup of tea.... and again as a little afternoon pick me up. To get you over the 3 o'clock blues. I say, long live tea!

Crazy Kitsch or Crazy Cool?

I can't decide... probably both but I thought it was worth a mention because anyone who can turn their kinda crazy offbeat ideas into something that actually sees the light of day (with a gallery installation in Manhattan no less!!) is my hero.

Christmas List

I don't actually have a huge Christmas list this year... Strange, but true.  But I did come across some little thought starters when I was in dream land via the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book. It's definately worth a look for some inspiration if you have a money tree growing in your backyard!

A free day...

Today I was supposed to be setting up shop at Mosman markets but it was cancelled due to the rain which left me free to spend today exactly as I pleased. Soooooo happy....... There's only one thing better than a day of doing nothing - and that's a day of doing nothing when you were suppose to be doing something.  Joy. Oh. Joy. !! x

This says it all...

Today feels like the perfect home day.  I'd love to be doing nothing other than curling up on the couch with a good book, a cup of tea and maybe a DVD on standby...... Instead, I'm off to work and back to reality with a big fat thud.

I went to a wedding of one of my very lovely girlfriends on the weekend and it was gorgeous. Made me want to get married all over again (to the same person thankfully!).  I looooove weddings..

A lack of posting equates to a lack of inspiration this week which equals working too many hours in my day job. There has been hardly time left for anything else let alone blogging - which in my world is one of life's little luxuries. Let's hope that it quietens down soon and the juices flow once more.... I came across this picture at the beginning of last week. An explosion of colour, creativity and fun. Just what the doctor ordered.

The joy of a clean house...

I'm going to go as far as saying that not much makes me happier than having a clean house.  After having a cleaning frenzy over the long weekend (you've got to strike when it hits) I now have a beautifully clean house that makes me happy (and calm) when I get home each day - and when I wake up each morning. This is once again my little sanctuary that makes me feel good - like everything is in order.

Off to the Markets we go....

Well, Florals & Stripes did it's very first Market day at Mosman (in Sydney).  It was overcast all day (and ended up raining us out about an hour before pack up time) but it was a great day with lots of happy customers. My darling husband was there with me from wo to go. You can see him in the 2nd picture, doing the Sodoku in the Good Weekend - pink pen in hand! He is such a good egg - i love him to bits xx

I have just been reading about these super talented girls - the Kapitza sisters.  Originally from Germany they have set up shop in London's East End and spend their days (and possibly nights) designing cool stuff - like picture and pattern fonts.  They've recently launched a book called 'Geometric'.  Here's a link to their site in case you want to know more....
